Briefly, about us, we are four brothers, three studying karate Joshua (1996),
Brishan (2000) and Shasta (2005), with a little help and encoragement from Mum,
Dad and baby brother Sliabh (2009), just a little too young for the discipline yet
but he loves chopping and kicking with us.
We originally lived in the same locality as GrandMaster Maughan, attending his
brilliant open course for Kids on wednesday evenings, supplemented by the DVDs at home.
Joshua reached blue belt and Brishan reached orange belt before our family moved
from Ireland to Switzerland, and afterwards to France. We did try other martial arts
during this time, but none had the same appeal as the American Advanced Kenpo Karate
system. So we continued studying with the DVD/online method and Joshua has since got
both Green and 3rd Brown, while Brishan has got his purple belt following the online
course.
